Engla reached two groups of Rangers on the outside who did not know how to act against the dragon. They were releasing at the monster without much conviction. One of the groups consisted of her Expertise contenders.

“Follow me, quick!” She led them to some thick shrubs.

“Hide in the thicket and don’t let it see you. It’s a real dragon, and it will destroy you with claws or fire.”

The Rangers, looking baffled and unbelieving, lunged into the shrubs at once.

“Everyone, keep quiet and hide. If it sees us, it will kill us.”

The Rangers did as Engla told them.
